Two weeks ago, I went on an adventure to little ol' NYC

Incredible new books AND a marvelous party? 🥂

A separate video to come soon about what ELSE I got up to in New York, but here's the quickest of recaps...

June 3rd was release day for Bindery's four newest titles (all linked below), and MY FIRST chance to meet some lovely friends in person! The Bindery staff is exactly as marvelous as they are online (duh), the authors of the books could not have been lovelier (shout out to Denise, who [by total coincidence] took the same train home), and my follow content creators were every bit as friendly and welcoming as my anxious little heart hoped (shout out to Krystal, who was ALSO on the same train home, where we learned we have lived the same life in different places).

Monday was welcome drinks and an after drinks drink side quest (it's like they know me). Tuesday was the PARTY, full of yet more wonderful folk, freebies, and chats with both the authors of the books and the imprint-owners/tastemakers who published each. The full video of the Q&As will post here later today! Tuesday had another side quest of pizza, dessert, and finally, a rooftop bar with yet more boozy beverages. (Vacation money doesn't count, right?)

Wednesday was an adorable community meetup event at the Fifth Avenue Barnes & Noble, where YES, I did film a thing or two (coming soon!) and got to give parting hugs.

On a personal note, as familiar as I am with NYC (extremely), I almost never go downtown. My people are largely in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Long Island, so if ever I find myself in Manhattan, I'm solidly above 20th Street (you know??). It was a particularly fun adventure getting to see different pieces of the city I don't usually explore.
