On my life, I haven't forgotten my dear ones on Bindery. (Never.)

For those of you who are new to our humble throng... WELCOME! I'm so happy you're here.

And thank you, thank you, those who are regularly yapping it up on Discord, for being game for a little gab and a little "show me your pet photos" here and there. That's such an easy place to feel like I'm still chatting with folks without panicking that I haven't posted enough content lately! (When, let's be so real, I absolutely have not.)

So what gives, Mary?

First and foremost, I'm catching up on cross-posting things here today and tomorrow. Apologies in advance to your inbox.

More content has been filmed and is in the process of getting edited. I will not (EVER) call myself the world's most artistic or skilled video editor, but I do want to teach myself how to do better. (Why does that part feel like it takes AGES??)

Happy Hour on YouTube resumes this week, and I appreciate the patience as I get that up and going again. I'm also seriously considering a Bindery-only "Sunday Brunch" that veers into long-form territory. Think 15-20 minutes, which is LONG for me! Topics include my very complicated feelings about romantasy, where I think AI might be going, and other deep, dark, twisty topics that necessitate more space to blather on. What do we think about this? Please comment — I'd love to get a sense of what more I can provide.

Speaking of providing things, I've also asked the Discord crowd if going live there (or elsewhere) is of interest, and it seemed to be! If we did something mid-week-ish... say Wednesday evenings? Just as a quick one-hour sesh? We may try it a few times and see how we go before landing on something more consistent going forward. Again, the comments would be a lovely place to share your thoughts!

Finally, GIVEAWAYS. There are TWO that are happening in the coming weeks. I realized after the fact that I did not give a hard and fast deadline for becoming a Bindery subscriber to enter the giveaway for my lovely special edition copy of "Of Monsters and Mainframes" by Barbara Truelove. That ENDS on Sunday, June 22nd, so spread the word! Anyone following me here (both free and unpaid) are automatically entered! The June giveaway for paid subscribers will go out (as always) at the end of the month. I got some feedback in April that the posts here announcing the winner didn't feel the most awesome, so I'm shifting to reaching out to those winners privately, if that's okay with all. (We also have a couple of similarly named folk that has potential to cause confusion!) If you are a paid subscriber, you are already automatically entered; please just keep an eye out for a message/DM to alert you if you've won this month's goodies.
